El movimiento animalista en Argentina y la emergencia de los enfoques antiespecistas sobre la relación entre ambiente y sociedad

El objetivo del artículo es conocer los enfoques planteados por las y los activistas que se identifican con el movimiento animalista en Argentina analizando sus percepciones e imaginarios en torno a cómo interpretan la relación entre ambiente y sociedad, el concepto de especismo y el animalismo. Los resultados se desprenden de entrevistas semiestructuradas llevadas a cabo con referentes e integrantes de tres organizaciones animalistas antiespecistas. El análisis se orienta a un enfoque cualitativo para conocer y comprender las percepciones, los imaginarios, las visiones y los enfoques que sus activistas plantean para profundizar en los fundamentos y los saberes colectivos tendientes a la defensa de los animales y a la transformación de la relación especista entre ambiente y sociedad. La estrategia para la recolección de los datos se basó en el muestreo teórico. Se llevaron a cabo 20 entrevistas semiestructuradas con activistas entre 2017 y 2018. El corte temporal abarcó hasta diciembre de 2018. The focus of the paper is to review the approaches taken by the activists aligned with the animal rights movement in Argentina, analyzing their perceptions and imaginaries about how they interpret the relationship between environment and society, and the concept of speciesism and animalism. The results presented, emerge from semistructured interviews carried out with referents and members of three antispeciesist animal rights organizations. The analysis takes a qualitative approach to know and understand the perceptions, imaginaries, visions and approaches that activists propose in order to deepen the foundations and collective knowledge tending to the defense of animals and the transformation of the speciesist relationship between environment and society. The process for data collection was based on theoretical sampling. 20 semistructured interviews were carried out with activists between 2017 and 2018. The time period covered until December 2018.
