El puente Rosario Victoria y sus efectos sobre el transporte regional

La infraestructura de transporte juega un rol importante a la hora de evaluar la competitividad de las regiones y la inserción en el sistema de redes y espacios globales. En esa búsqueda es que se plantean corredores interoceánicos para el transporte de cargas, dentro de los cuales se integran infraestructuras ya existentes, acondicionadas, y nuevos proyectos articulados. El puente Rosario-Victoria, inaugurado a mediados del 2003, fue planteado para integrar el Corredor Bioceánico Central, como alternativa a los cruces existentes sobre el río Paraná, Zárate-Brazo Largo y el túnel Subfluvial Hernandarias, junto con objetivos de carácter multipropósito. Este trabajo pretende analizar los efectos del nuevo enlace vial en los primeros meses de funcionamiento sobre el sistema de transporte regional, sin desestimar los efectos sobre aspectos tales como los socioeconómicos, el turismo y la economía regional y los efectos ambientales. This paper outlines the importance of transport infrastructure as a key factor to asses regions’competitiveness and integration into a wider global system of spaces and networks.In this paper we look into the inter-oceanic corridors, which integrates existinginfrastructure and new articulated projects. The Rosario-Victoria Bridge opened duringmid 2003 was part of the bi-oceanic central corridor as an alternative option to the existingcrossings of Zárate-Brazo Largo Bridge and the Hernandarias tunnel.This paper analyses the influence of the Bridge during the first few month of operationupon regional transports and others aspect such as socio-economy, tourism and theenvironment.
