Resumen

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

This study was conducted to determine the views and suggestions of Turkish teachers regarding lesson plans. Within the scope of the research, interviews were conducted with 21 Turkish teachers who volunteered to participate in the study and who had at least five years of professional experience, working in the Keçiören and Pursaklar districts of Ankara. The participants were selected using the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling techniques. The opinions and suggestions of the participants were collected using a semi-structured interview form prepared based on expert feedback. The interviews were recorded and subsequently transcribed. The study was conducted by using the phenomenological research model. Three themes were identified as a result of the analysis. These themes are participants’ views on lesson plans, participants’ lesson plan preparation processes, and participants’ suggestions for lesson plans. The participating Turkish teachers agreed that lesson plans are very important and have a positive effect on both teacher and student success. However, it was found that they held differing views on the preparation of lesson plans. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that lesson plans be used regularly in educational activities.
