Resumen

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

Background: Diabetes is growing in the rural population with unfavorable outcome due to limited awareness, healthcare access, poor treatment-seeking behavior, sedentary lifestyles, and rising obesity. Aims and Objectives: This study aims to knowledge-awareness promotion, treatment-seeking behavior assessment, and craft a strategy to improve treatment compliance and overcome barriers in rural Arunachal Pradesh. Materials and Methods: A mixed-methods approach using in-depth interviews, health education interventions, and questionnaire-based data collection will be used to understand patient behavior, knowledge, and healthcare access. Expected Outcome: Data on treatment adherence, lifestyle influences will be obtained from diabetic patient, and the effect of health education will be obtained from patient and general population, barriers, and enablers to the national program for prevention and control of non-communicable diseases implementation from the perspectives of patients and health care providers. Conclusion: Findings will help to co-develop context-specific, sustainable strategies to overcome challenges in diabetes care, enhancing program delivery and patient outcomes.
