INTRODUCTION. A research was conducted on the effectiveness of using Korean cosmetic product advertisements in the process of translation training. The emphasis is on the pragmatic aspects of translation, which is an important component in the training of linguists capable of adequately conveying the semantic and cultural features of original texts. The aim of the study is to assess the pragmatic potential of Korean advertising texts within the framework of translation into Russian. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The research employs a descriptive method, including collection and preliminary analysis of material and interpretation of data based on texts of advertisements for Korean cosmetics products. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. Within the framework of the study, specific examples of advertising texts were analyzed, typical problems and specific difficulties arising when translating advertising slogans and descriptions rich in culturally conditioned elements were identified, and effective strategies for overcoming them were considered. This approach allows for the identification of optimal methods for localizing marketing messages, taking into account the nuances of intercultural communication, and improving the quality of translation, ensuring a more accurate conveyance of the meanings and emotional tones characteristic of the original advertising materials. CONCLUSION. Using Korean cosmetics advertisements in teaching helps develop translation skills, intercultural communication, and cultural understanding. Analysis shows that student feedback helps improve programs, and practical assignments stimulate creative thinking and cultural-lexical skills. This approach strengthens the professional training of specialists in the global marketing landscape.
