Perbandingan antara Metode Advance Use Case point dan Revised Use Case Point untuk Evaluasi Biaya Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Reservasi Ruangan

Proyek-proyek pengembangan perangkat lunak seringkali mengalami kegagalan karena tidak terpenuhinya batasan ruang lingkup, biaya dan waktu. Pada CV Gumcode Indonesia beberapa proyek mengalami keterlambatan dan kelebihan biaya karena metode perhitungan estimasi yang digunakan berupa campuran perhitungan dan dugaan, sehingga menghasilkan estimasi yang tidak tepat. Evaluasi terhadap metode estimasi dibutuhkan untuk menghasilkan estimasi yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang estimasi biaya, waktu dan sumber daya yang dibutuhkan untuk pengembangkan Sistem Informasi Reservasi Ruangan yang mengacu pada Work Breakdown Structure dan menjadwalkan ke dalam Gantt Chart menggunakan metode Advance Use Case Point dan Revised Use Case Point. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara kepada Manajer Proyek dan observasi pada sistem, yang diolah menjadi use case diagram dan use case scenario. Dari metode Advance Use Case Point diperoleh estimasi hours of effort sebesar 2.229,4 jam kerja dengan total biaya Rp 110.558.733,00 dan dikerjakan oleh 26 orang. Sedangkan, dari metode Revised Use Case Point diperoleh estimasi hours of effort sebesar 1.679,8 jam kerja dengan total biaya Rp 83.303.382,00 dan dikerjakan oleh 26 orang. Berdasarkan analisis perbandingan hasil kedua metode, metode Advance Use Case Point lebih direkomendasikan karena mencangkup fitur End-User Development yang dibutuhkan dalam Sistem Informasi Reservasi Ruangan.

Abstract

Many software development projects failed because they didn’t meet the limits of scope, cost and time. In CV Gumcode Indonesia, some projects experienced delay and the cost was overrun because the estimation method used is a mixture of calculations and guesses, resulting in incorrect estimates. This study described the cost, time and resource estimation needed to develop a Room Reservation Information System that referred to the Work Breakdown Structure and scheduled it into the Gantt Chart using the Advance Use Case Point and Revised Use Case Point methods. Data is collected by interviewing the Project Manager and observing the system, which is processed into a use case diagram and use case scenario as input for both methods. The Advance Use Case Point method produces hour of effort estimate of 2,229.4 hours of work with a total cost of Rp 110,558,733.00 and is done by 26 people. The Revised Use Case Point method produces hours of effort estimation of 1,679.8 working hours with a total cost of Rp. 83,303,382.00 and is done by 26 people. Based on the results of the comparative analysis, the Advance Use Case Point method is more recommended because it covers the End-User Development features needed in the Room Reservation Information System.
