Abstract
The utilization of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the agricultural sector is rapidly evolving, particularly in efforts to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making. Modern agriculture requires an efficient, real-time, and energy-saving monitoring system to improve land productivity. This study aims to develop the user interface (UI) design of a mobile application based on LoRa (Long Range) technology for monitoring agricultural land readiness. The system is designed to present real-time sensor data, such as soil moisture, temperature, and water level, through an intuitive and responsive interface for field users. The development process adopts the DevOps approach to ensure continuous integration between development and operations teams while accelerating the software iteration cycle. The research stages include user needs analysis, UI design using user-centered design principles, and prototype integration with LoRa devices for functionality testing. Testing was carried out using the Black-Box Testing method to evaluate the main application features, including registration and login, sensor selection, notification settings, land management, and sensor calibration. Each feature was tested based on the input provided and the output produced to ensure the UI design aligns with user requirements. The results show that DevOps supports efficiency in the UI development cycle, while LoRa technology provides reliable data transmission with wide coverage and low power consumption. The resulting UI design is responsive, intuitive, and has been functionally validated, making it suitable for farmers in monitoring land conditions. This research contributes to the development of affordable and adaptable agricultural IoT solutions for Indonesia’s diverse geographical conditions and supports data-driven decision-making.
