Resumen

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

The increasing levels of anxiety, stress, academic burnout, and emotional dysregulation among students represent a significant global educational concern. Although Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) remains one of the most empirically validated methods for reducing anxiety and depressive symptoms in young populations, its application in educational settings often emphasizes immediate cognitive restructuring rather than long-term self-regulatory development. Concurrently, contemplative educational approaches have drawn on classical Vedic psychological principles, including meta-cognitive awareness, disciplined mental training, and process-oriented engagement. Despite conceptual overlaps, a systematic theoretical integration of structured CBT models and Vedic cognitive frameworks remains underdeveloped in educational research. This paper presents a conceptual analysis culminating in the proposed Cognitive–Contemplative Educational Framework (CCEF). The framework maps CBT constructs to Vedic concepts such as Sakshi-bhava (witness consciousness), Vairagya (detachment), Abhyasa (disciplined practice), and Karma Yoga (process-oriented action). The study examines epistemological distinctions, psychological mechanisms, pedagogical implications, and future research directions. The proposed framework contributes to interdisciplinary discourse on student mental health and well-being in education and provides a structured foundation for future empirical validation.
