Resumen

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

In this study; the plasma levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), low-density lipoprotein phospholipid (LDL-P), highdensity lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), high-density lipoprotein phospholipid (HDL-P), apolipoprotein A-I (ApoA-l) and apolipoprotein B(ApoB) were compared between 18 patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) and 21 healthy normals. TC, TG and ApoB levels were not significantly different between two groups (p>0.05). There were significant differences in the levels of LDL-C (p<0.05, LDL-P (p<0.001), HDL-C (p<0.001), HDL-P (p<0.001), ApoA-I (p<0.001) between two groups. HDL-C and HDL-P were decreased while LDL-C and LDL-P were increased in the CRF group. ApoA-I levels are found to be even lower in the CRF group compared to controls. There were also significant in the ratio of HDL-C/TC*100 (p<0.01) and LDLClApoB (p<0.05). Data of this study can suggest that the patients with CRF may have serious risk for ischemic heart disease.
