Resumen

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

Aim: To examine the effect of healthcare workers' perception of safety from violence on their job satisfaction. Method: The research was conducted between February and April 2025, involving 278 healthcare workers at a training and research hospital in Niğde, Türkiye. Data were collected using the "Safety and Confidence Scale of Healthcare Professionals" and the "Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire." Analyses were performed using SPSS 25.0, including descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. Results: A positive and significant relationship was found between healthcare workers' safety perception and job satisfaction (r=0.57, p<0.001). Regression results indicated that perceptions of safety and confidence explained 32.5% of the variance in job satisfaction (R²=0.325, p<0.001). The 'confidence' dimension was identified as having a stronger impact on job satisfaction. Conclusion: Healthcare workers' perceptions of safety from violence significantly affect their job satisfaction. The findings suggest that healthcare institutions should develop policies to improve workplace safety and enhance job satisfaction by addressing both intrinsic and extrinsic motivational sources.
