Fernando Birri y el coSmunismo: una resignificación maoísta en el Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano

En el marco del Convenio entre el CONICET, el CEHP-DADU-UNDAV y el Ministerio de Cultura de Santa Fe (para la puesta en valor del archivo personal de Fernando Birri), se inició una reflexión en torno a las obras emblemáticas del máximo exponente del “Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano”. Consideramos que uno de los hallazgos es el de haber podido conjugar dos tipos de producciones: por un lado, aquella vinculada con Birri ─centrándonos particularmente en el film “ORG” (y su manifiesto)─ en donde creatividad, cultura y política confluyen para diagnosticar los efectos vigentes del ethos capitalista. Por el otro, la promoción china de la “teoría de los tres mundos” que obedeció a la incipiente ruptura sino-soviética que sirvió para identificarse, no al segundo mundo sino al tercer. Con la producción de Birri verificamos el aporte de su obra a la construcción de una cosmología que profundizaba la cultura maoísta hasta llegar al paroxismo. Within the framework of the Agreement between CONICET, CEHP-DADU-UNDAV and the Ministry of Culture of Santa Fe (for the enhancement of Fernando Birri's personal archive), a reflection on the emblematic works of the greatest exponent of the ‘New Latin American Cinema’ was initiated. We consider that one of the findings is that we have been able to combine two types of productions: on the one hand, those linked to Birri -focusing particularly on the film ‘ORG’ (and its manifesto)- in which creativity, culture and politics converge to diagnose the current effects of the capitalist ethos. On the other hand, the Chinese promotion of the ‘theory of the three worlds’, which responded to the incipient Sino-Soviet rupture that served to identify itself, not with the second world, but with the third. With Birri's production we verify the contribution of his work to the construction of a cosmology that deepened Maoist culture to the point of paroxysm. Fil: Goldwaser, Nathalie Romina.
