Cooperación universitaria en redes telemáticas : tres propuestas para una Tele-Universidad Iberoamericana

Instituto de Filosofía; España Las nuevas tecnologías de la información y de las telecomunicaciones (NTIT) posibilitan la creación de un nuevo espacio social para las interrelaciones humanas al que denomino tercer entorno, para distinguirlo del entorno natural y del entorno urbano, es decir del campo y de la ciudad. Dicha transformación puede ser comparada con las grandes revoluciones técnicas que se produjeron a lo largo de la historia e incide sobremanera en lo que atañe al conocimiento humano. Así como la imprenta transformó profundamente los métodos universitarios medievales (lectio, dictatio, disputatio, etc.), así también las NTIT (redes telemáticas, televisión, videojuegos, tecnologías multimedia, etc.) están modificando la actividad universitaria. The new information and telecommunications technologies (NTIT) make it possible to create a new social space for human interrelations, which I call the third environment, to distinguish it from the natural environment and the urban environment, that is, from the countryside and the city. This transformation can be compared to the great technical revolutions that occurred throughout history and has a major impact on human knowledge. Just as the printing press profoundly transformed medieval university methods (lectio, dictatio, disputatio, etc.), so also the NTIT (telematic networks, television, video games, multimedia technologies, etc.) are modifying university activity.
