Resumen

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

Abstract This study examines the impact of educational awareness, socioeconomic status, and rationalization of action on parental investment in education, with a specific focus on the mediating role of government educational policy. A self-administered questionnaire was employed to collect data from a sample of parents in East Java, Indonesia, using a simple random sampling method. The data collection process, facilitated through JotForm, resulted in a total sample size of 423 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that educational awareness, socioeconomic status, and rationalization of action exert a positive and significant influence on parental investment in education. Additionally, government educational policy was identified as a mediating factor in the relationship between these independent variables and parental investment in education. These results offer critical insights for policymakers, educators, and parents concerning the determinants of parental investment in education. The study underscores the importance of effective government education policies in enhancing parental investment, which is vital for the cultivation of high-quality human resources.
