Resumen

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

Six populations of Gymnocalycium paraguayense and G. fleischerianum , endemics of Paraguay and until present considered ad two different species,were studies using macromorphology, micromorphology and molecular data based on RAPD methods. Results where very homogeneus and suggest that all populations should be reffered to a single species, composed of two taxa at forma rak. Gymnocalycium paraguayense betypified and G. paraguayense fa. fleischerianum is described; a list of synonims is added.
