Práticas de leitura: quais rumos para favorecer a expressão do sujeito leitor? Reading practices: how to favor expression of the reader-subject?

O estudo traz uma reflexão sobre a dimensão subjetiva da leitura em contexto escolar. Estabelece-se, nele, uma distinção entre leitura analítica (de análise e interpretação de texto, freqüentemente a única praticada na escola) e leitura cursiva (denominação dada, atualmente, na França, para as leituras pessoais, autônomas e livres de coerção avaliativa). Estas últimas, desde 2001, inserem-se no currículo oficial do ensino médio como uma nova possibilidade de ensino de literatura. As pesquisas contemporâneas sobre a questão mostram que ela não se reduz a uma atividade cognitiva e que o processo de elaboração semântica se enraiza na experiência do sujeito. O investimento subjetivo do leitor é uma necessidade funcional da leitura literária; é o leitor quem completa o texto e lhe imprime sua forma singular de pensar e sentir. Não se trata, portanto, de renunciar ao estudo da obra em sua dimensão formal e objetiva, mas de acolher os sentimentos dos alunos, incentivando seu envolvimento pessoal com a leitura.<br>This study discusses the subjective dimension of reading within the school context, distinguishing between analytical reading (with analysis and interpretation of text, often the only modality practiced in schools) and cursive reading (denomination currently used in France to denote autonomous personal reading, exempt from coercive evaluation). This last modality of reading has been included in the official secondary school curriculum since 2001, as a new possibility for the teaching of reading. Contemporary studies in this area have shown that the cursive reading is not limited to a cognitive activity, and that the process of semantic elaboration is rooted in the subject's experience. The reader's subjective investment is a functional necessity in literary reading, since he is the one who completes the text and imprints upon it its singular form. Therefore, it is not an issue of abandoning the study of the work in its formal and objective form, but rather of accepting students' sentiments, encouraging their personal involvement with their reading.
