DECISION-MAKING IN MICRO ENTERPRISES: EXPLORING FORECASTING FACTORS

Micro businesses play a crucial role in Argentina’s socioeconomic landscape, providing entrepreneurship opportunities and essential services across Buenos Aires. However, these businesses often have a high failure rate, and the factors influencing their success remain unclear. This study investigates the predictive capabilities of micro business owners regarding sales, stock levels, and pricing within a one-month period. Using a field study approach, data was collected and analyzed to determine correlations between prediction accuracy and variables such as education level, experience, and business longevity. Additionally, higher levels of education correlated with better predictive performance. While gender did not show a clear relationship with prediction success, more experienced business owners demonstrated better forecasting abilities. The findings suggest that enhancing business education and experience could improve micro business sustainability. Future research should refine data collection methods and expand sample sizes to deepen insights into the success factors of micro enterprises in Argentina.
