The official papers of the Romanian Communist Party came into possession of Army that had evacuated them form the Central Committee’s headquarters during December 1989 Revolution. Gen. (r) Nicolae Spiroiu, the minister of National Defense from 1991 to 1994, explains in an interview what were the causes of that fact and why it took so long for the documents to get hold by National Archives.
