Las raíces del terrorismo islámico transnacional

El terrorismo islámico es, para el autor del trabajo, una de las amenazas más significativas a la paz internacional en nuestros días, y plantea la necesidad de tratar de entender la mentalidad que subyace tras los terroristas como condición para enfrentarla. Para ello se focaliza en las motivaciones de al-Qaeda, revisa los antecedentes de esa organización, el concepto de jihad; y otros conceptos fundamentales, dedicando luego un acápite a las acciones emprendidas por nuestro país en materia de lucha contra el terrorismo internacional y las perspectivas futuras al respecto. Islamic terrorism is, for the author of this work, one of the most meaningful threats to international peace in these days, he suggests an understanding of his mentality in order to face it. This paper focuses on: the motivations of al- Qaeda, the backgrounds of this organization, the concept of jihad-along with other basic concepts- and finally to the actions taken by our country in the struggle against international terrorism and the future perspectives.
