Descripción general del contenido del recurso.
El corpus poético sobre las ruinas cubre todo el espectro de las literaturas occidentales, pero no se trata de realizar un registro cuantitativo del tema en la poesía española, sino proponer otras líneas investigativas que proporcionen un marco teórico a la percepción e interpretación de las ruinas. Se presentan los criterios de P. Zucker, R. Mortier, C. Disandro, B. Wardropper y G. Simmel; este último ofrece un sustento teórico al presentar la historia humana como el dominio gradual del espíritu sobre la naturaleza; aplicado a las ruinas, dos tendencias se presentan aquí: una ascendente propia del espíritu y otra descendente, la de la materia. Las ruinas rompen el equilibrio entre el espíritu y la naturaleza en pro de la segunda. Se ejemplifican con abundancia estos criterios comenzando por la poesía renacentista que toma las ruinas de Itálica como motivo central. Los matices intermedios de esta relación se ejemplifican con textos que incluyen hasta autores contemporáneos, que se preguntan por el significado de las ruinas: marca o vestigio de presencias divinas de antaño, sobre lo que los poetas dan respuesta afirmativa o negativa. The poetic corpus about the ruins embraces the whole spectrum of the western literatures. The aim of this article isn't a quantitative register of the Spanish poetry, but to propose other lines of research that furnish a theoretical frame for the perception and interpretation of the ruins. The author displays the opinions of Z. Zucker, R. Mortier, C. Disandro, B. Wardropper and G. Simmel; this last gives a theoretical frame when he presents the human history as the gradual domination of the spirit over the nature. If Simmel's criterion is applied to the ruins we have two tendencies: one ascendent inherent to the spirit and one descendent, to the matter. The ruins break this balance between spirit and the nature on behalf of the second. The author illustrates with many examples these criteria beginning by the Renaissance poetry and one of his principal subjects: the ruins of Italica; he also includes contemporary authors. All these poets inquire about the signification of the ruins as traces or vestiges of ancient sacred presences with affirmative or negative answer. Centro de Estudios Latinos
