Občanské právo na brněnské právnické fakultě v období socialismu

This study examines the development of civil law at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno during the socialist period (1948–1989). It reflects on the ideological and political influences that shaped both the teaching and application of civil law. Particular attention is paid to the biographical medallions of the key figures of the period, namely Jaromír Blažke, Josef Eliáš and Josef Macur. The study also deals with the development of civil law before 1948 and the events affecting legal education, including the repeated closures of the Brno Faculty of Law. The study provides an insight into the historical development of the field, its main representatives and their scientific research activities in the context of the social changes of the time.
