Ibáñez e Ibáñez: el arte y la industria cultural

En el presente trabajo se realiza un análisis de Cultura, penúltima novela del escritor platense Gabriel Báñez. Si bien Cultura es abiertamente una sátira política, de la que no escapa ni siquiera el propio autor -ficcionalizado como “Ibáñez”- es, por sobre todas las cosas, una crítica a la industria cultural y a la cultura globalizada. La tensión jamás resuelta entre el arte y la industria cultural –motivo frecuente en las especulaciones de Theodor Adorno y la Escuela de Frankfurt, marco teórico de nuestra práctica hermenéutica- es metafóricamente representada en la novela de Bañez por el desdoblamiento del personaje principal. This paper analyses Cultura, the penultimate novel written by Grabiel Bañez who was born in La Plata. Although Cultura is a political satire where not even its own writter escapes, fictionalized as “Ibáñez”; it is above all, a critisism to the cultural industry and the globalized culture. The never solved tension between Art and industrial culture, a frequent matter in the speculations of Theodor Adorno and the Frankfurt School, the theoretical framework for our hermeneutical practice, is metaphorically representated by Bañez novel by the twofold characteristic of the main character.
