The areas of interest of the scholar Adrian Marino significantly enlarge after December '89, allowing him to become closer to a number of problems of the Romanian contemporary society for which he always felt a veritable vocation. The main aim of the paper regards the presentation of these ideas less literary and much closer to the sphere of political sciences. The phenomenon of contemporary migration represents one of those ideas studied and interpreted by Marino, its analysis being subsumed by the author to a larger sphere of socially and anthropologically comments, concerning the complex report established between identity and otherness.
