O coordenador pedagógico: aportes à proposição de políticas públicas The cooperative teacher: contributions for the proposal of public policy

No âmbito das reflexões sobre as políticas públicas da educação básica, o artigo discute a função do coordenador pedagógico na escola, na perspectiva da melhoria da qualidade do ensino. Toma como subsídio pesquisa sobre a atividade desse profissional, propondo-se a identificar quem é ele e a analisar como seu trabalho é realizado em escolas de diferentes regiões brasileiras, buscando indicar as possibilidades e limitações que quem ocupa esse cargo enfrenta. O texto pretende demonstrar que o coordenador pedagógico tem um papel fundamental na gestão dos processos escolares, sobretudo na formação dos professores. Como pano de fundo, apresentam-se as condições de trabalho desse profissional, com destaque à sua formação e atribuições. Busca-se, assim, contribuir para a formulação de políticas publicas que viabilizem a presença de coordenadores pedagógicos nas escolas de todo o país, exercendo as funções articuladora, formadora e transformadora, algo que já está previsto em lei em muitos dos estados e municípios brasileiros.<br>In the context of basic education public policies, the article discusses the role of the cooperative teacher at school, from the perspective of improving the quality of education. Based on research about this professional activity, the aim is to identify who is this professional and also to analyze the work he accomplishes in schools located in different regions of Brazil, pointing up possibilities and limitations that this position present. The text aims to demonstrate that the cooperative teacher plays a key role in the management of school processes, especially in teachers' professional development. As a background, it is shown his working conditions, focusing on his training and assignments. The results of this article can contribute to the formulation of public policies enabling cooperative teachers to be present in all Brazilian schools, carrying out functions of liaison and training, as well as those with a potential to transform the school setting, something already provided by law in many states and municipalities.
