Carbon-based quantum dots (CQDs) represent a highly promising category of nanomaterials due to their distinctive optical, electronic, and chemical characteristics. This review delves into the synthesis methodologies of non-toxic CQDs, with particular emphasis on eco-friendly approaches that minimize environmental impact.
