Enseñar y aprender: un constante reto

El concepto de objeto de aprendizaje (learning object) se ha convertido en el centro de un nuevo paradigma de diseño de actividades de aprendizaje on-line, que hace énfasis en la reutilización de contenidos y actividades, mediante el uso de metadatos en formatos conocidos. En este artículo se presentan brevemente las características de las principales teorías del aprendizaje, se enuncian los distintos enfoques para el diseño de material educativo, ahondando en la teoría de Objetos de Aprendizaje y finalmente se expone un caso práctico, surgido de la necesidad de hallar herramientas alternativas para mejorar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, que cumplan con los requisitos de calidad de software educativo. The concept of learning object has become the centre of a new paradigm for the design of on-line learning activities, which emphasizes content and activity reuse through the use of metadata in wellknown formats. This paper proposes a brief of the characteristics of the main learning theories, the different approaches are enunciated for the design of educational material, going deeply into the theory of Learning Objects and finally there is exposed a practical case arisen from the need to find alternative tools to improve the teaching-learning process, which perform with the qualities requirements of educational software.
