Struktur Negasi Bahasa Rejang Musi di Kabupaten Rejang Lebong

Abstrak: Bahasa Rejang Musi merupakan salah satu dialek bahasa Rejang yang termasuk dalam rumpun Austronesia yang memiliki sistem negasi yang relatif kompleks dibandingkan dengan bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk, posisi, dan cakupan negasi dalam bahasa Rejang Musi di Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan kerangka linguistik struktural. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik Simak Libat Cakap (SLC), teknik Sadap, Simak Libat Bebas Cakap (SLBC), dan teknik Catat dari empat informan penutur asli di Desa Tabarenah, Kecamatan Curup Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sembilan bentuk negasi, terdiri atas enam negasi tunggal (coa, iso, ati, buye, jibeak, cigei) dan tiga negasi kompleks (coa bakea, coa nyut, coa kulo). Analisis sintaksis menunjukkan bahwa konstituen negatif cenderung menempati posisi sebelum unsur yang dinegasikan. Variasi posisi ini memungkinkan perbedaan cakupan negasi terhadap predikat, proposisi, maupun keterangan sehingga memengaruhi fokus semantik kalimat. Hasil penelitian ini memperkaya kajian tipologi bahasa daerah serta memberikan kontribusi terhadap dokumentasi linguistik bahasa Rejang. Abstract: The Rejang Musi language is one of the dialects of the Rejang language belonging to the Austronesian language family, which possesses a relatively complex negation system compared to Indonesian. This study aims to describe the forms, positions, and scope of negation in the Rejang Musi language in Rejang Lebong Regency. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method within a structural linguistic framework. The data were collected using the Simak Libat Cakap (SLC) technique, the Sadap technique, Simak Libat Bebas Cakap (SLBC), and the Note-taking technique from four native speaker informants in Tabarenah Village, Curup Utara District. The results show that there are nine forms of negation, consisting of six single negations (coa, iso, ati, buye, jibeak, cigei) and three complex negations (coa bakea, coa nyut, coa kulo). The syntactic analysis indicates that negative constituents tend to occupy a position before the element being negated. This positional variation allows differences in the scope of negation toward predicates, propositions, and adverbial elements, thereby influencing the semantic focus of the sentence. The findings of this study enrich the typological studies of regional languages and contribute to the linguistic documentation of the Rejang language.
