The article represents an analysis of the Romanian political and social space. It captures a series of phenomena that have formed a background for the 2016 parliamentary elections and marked the post-election evolutions as well. It is the development of a culture of protest, a manifestation of active civic indignation, which has demonstrated its political effectiveness and managed to put the old parties into a confusion. The article also draws attention to the insinuation of illiberal ideas into Romanian political life.
