NODOVOX operates as a professional catalog-record layer: it preserves original MARC, normalizes MARC-8/UTF-8 for web display, supports ISBN lookup, and prepares exports and integrations for libraries, consortia, and institutional systems.
An institution can check whether NDX has a record for an ISBN and, subject to usage permissions, download it or integrate it into its cataloging workflow.
NDX preserves fields and subfields from the source record: 001, 035, 040, 245, 260/264, 650, 655, 700/710, 856, and repeated variants.
