Evaluation of human papilloma virus knowledge levels of university students by providing training

Aim: Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is known to cause various cancers. Therefore, the aim of the study was to investigate the impact of HPV awareness education on university students' knowledge levels regarding HPV. Method: The study was designed in a one-group quasi-experimental design. The HPV knowledge scale was used in the study. In this context, pre-test and post-test were applied to 66 students to evaluate their HPV knowledge levels and the sustainability of their awareness after receiving training. Under the name of HPV awareness, students were trained for a period of four weeks. The same test was reapplied two weeks later to test the retention of the student's learning. In the study, repeated measures ANOVA analysis was used to analyse the data.
