The game principle as a form of poetic expression of theatricality in V.S. Vysotsky’s lyrics

INTRODUCTION. The game as a complex, multifaceted concept is the basis of the original synthetic talent of the literary art of Vladimir S. Vysotsky (1938–1980). The purpose of the study was to study the poetic expression of his lyrics in the aspect of the game paradigm. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Some works by V.S. Vysotsky from different years were selected as the research material. Cultural-historical, comparative-historical, and receptive research methods were used. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. The phenomenon of theatricality in the aspect of the beginning of the game is understood. The classical and modern works of leading scholars of philology and cultural studies are analyzed in the aspect of the stated problems and in relation to the lyrics of V.S. Vysotsky. The individual creative discoveries of his verbal art in the game perspective are revealed. Poet’s work is analyzed in the cultural paradigm of the first quarter of the 21st century and compared with the details of the contemporary V.S. Vysotsky socio-historical stage. CONCLUSION. Conclusions are drawn about the originality and originality of such a basic concept as theatricality in the literary art of Vysotsky as a poet, musician, actor, composer, performer of his musical and poetic compositions.
