Innovación tecnológica e identidad social en el Uruguay : encuentros y desencuentros

En primer lugar, realiza una breve revisión de estudios anteriores sobre la cuestión y reflexiona acerca del contenido del término "identidad tecnológica". En segundo lugar, traslada el foco de examen al caso Uruguay y se pregunta si puede existir una identidad tecnológica no recogida en el imaginario social y, no obstante, derivada de aspectos de la identidad social. Finalmente, reflexiona sobre el núcleo de lo que considera la identidad tecnológica uruguaya: la capacidad para innovar en condiciones de escasez. In this work the author considers the relationship between technological identity and cultural identity as applied to Uruguay's case. First of all, a brief review of previous studies on the same topic is presented, and a reflection on the content of the expression "technological identity" is advanced. Secondly, the examination focus is shifted to the Uruguay's case. The question is then raised, of whether a technological identity can exist without being taken up by the social imaginary, although derived from aspects of social identity. Lastly, the author reflects on the core of what she considers to be the Uruguayan technological identity: the ability to innovate in scarcity condition.
