PRELIMINARY RESEARCH ON ROMANIA’S TRAINING OF HUMAN RESOURCES FOR VIETNAM (1966 – 1989)

Romania established diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1950, and these relations have now spanned more than 75 years. Throughout this period, the two countries have overcome significant historical changes in their respective national contexts while maintaining and developing a strong traditional friendship. Within this framework, the present article examines educational cooperation between Romania and Vietnam, with a particular focus on the training of human resources for Vietnam during the period from 1966 to 1989. The study employs two principal methodological approaches: the historical method and the logical-analytical method. It also draws upon a wide range of sources, including archival materials from the Romanian National Archives and relevant scholarly works, to address the research questions posed. This article represents the first comprehensive study devoted specifically to this field of bilateral cooperation. As such, its findings provide an important contribution to a clearer understanding of more than 75 years of relations between Romania and Vietnam.
