Summary

Descripción general del contenido del recurso.

This study presents a decision-making framework using the fuzzy AHP-TOPSIS model to evaluate innovative agroecological and sustainable intensification approaches for strategic Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) management. By incorporating key sustainability indicators derived from agroecological principles and expert input, eight alternative approaches were analyzed and ranked. Climate-smart agriculture emerged as the top-performing strategy, offering the best balance of productivity, resilience, and environmental sustainability. Organic agriculture and sustainable intensification followed closely, highlighting the value of ecosystem-based and efficiency-driven innovations. Approaches such as permaculture, sustainable Food Value Chains (SFVC), and Agroforestry (A) demonstrated moderate suitability, while Food Sovereignty (FS) and nutrition-sensitive agriculture ranked lowest due to weaker alignment with strategic sustainability criteria. The study underscores the utility of fuzzy multi-criteria methods for guiding complex agricultural decisions and advocates for context-specific, system-based innovations to build resilient FSN systems aligned with agroecological values.
