Tight gas sands: un camino hacia la sustentabilidad energética

"El presente informe tiene como principal objetivo analizar la viabilidad económica de desarrollar el recurso de Tight Gas Sands en la Argentina. Para ello, en primer lugar, se analiza la situación macroeconómica de la Argentina y su proyección de crecimiento. En segundo lugar se presenta al Tight Gas Sands y se lo contextualiza dentro del grupo de lo que se denomina gas no convencional. Por otro lado, se plantea un modelo para hallar el precio de equilibrio en un proyecto de Tight Gas. Es decir, se realiza un estudio económico de un proyecto modelo de desarrollo de un yacimiento de Tigth Gas en la Argentina. La evaluación económica se realiza a partir de los costos, inversiones, caudales de producción y precios. De esta manera se intentará encontrar el precio de equilibrio, es decir, encontrar el precio base a partir del cual los proyectos serían económicamente viables. El objetivo es entender el punto en el cual este recurso sea desarrollable y contribuya a la matriz energética nacional, sustituyendo las importaciones de gas actuales". "The purpose of this report is the analysis of the economic feasibility of developing the Tight Gas Sands resort in Argentina. For this aim, first, there is an analysis of the macroeconomic situation of Argentina and its projection growth. In second place Tight Gas Sands is presented and brought into context within the group of so-called unconventional gas. In the following chapter section, the proposed model to find out the breakeven price in a Tight Gas project is explained. An economic study of a model project to develop a Tight Gas reservoir in Argentina is executed. The economic evaluation is made based on costs, investments, production volumes and prices. In this way, it will try to find out the breakeven price, the costs basis on which projects would be economically viable. The aim is to understand the point at which this resource would be developed and may contribute to the national energy matrix, replacing the current gas imports".
