En el presente trabajo se estudió el proceso de purificación de estreptotricina proveniente de caldos de fermentación de una cepa de Streptomyces cyaneus por cromatografía de intercambio iónico con resina IRA 45 y cromatografía de exclusión en Sephadex G10. Se realizó un estudio comparativo entre este método y el método de precipitaciones sucesivas establecido para este proceso. The purification process of a streptothricin mixture from fermentation broths of a strain of Streptomyces cyaneus was carried out by ion exchange chromatography on IRA-45 resin and gel exclusion chromatography on Sephadex G-10 dextran gel.
