Barcelona Porta Coeli: el front marítim en imatges: The sea front in images (1970-1980)

BARCELONA PORTA COELI és una recreació de la ciutat dels anys setanta i de començament dels vuitanta a través de les fotografies de Xavier Martí i dels incisius poemes de David Castillo. La transformació dels barris portuaris i mariners evoca la ciutat perduda, amb els seus habitants, els oficis, un paisatge irrecuperable i alhora fugaç, com les mateixes fotografies que els han fixat a la història. Des del far del Llobregat fins a lantiga estació de tren del Poblenou, versos i fotografies ens acosten a la muntanya de Montjuïc, a lespigó i linterior de la bocana del Port Vell i a la Barceloneta. El comerç i larribada dels vaixells, el moviment de mercaderies, els pescadors i la seva labor sens representen amb les grues, els objectes i les persones trobades pel camí... BARCELONA PORTA COELI is a re-creation of the city of the 1970s and early 1980s, as depicted through photographs taken by Xavier Martí and the incisive poems of David Castillo. The transformation of the port and seafront neighbourhoods recalls a lost city, with its residents, old trades and landscape beyond recovery as fleeting as the very photographs that have set them in their history. From the Llobregat lighthouse to the old Poblenou train station, verses and photographs takes us to Montjuïc mountain, to the breakwater and inside of the entrance to Port Vell and Barceloneta. Trade and the arrival of ships, the movement of goods, the fishermen and their work are represented by the cranes, items and people found on the way...
