Počátky právní regulace rostlinolékařské péče o dřeviny v Českých zemích

The article focuses on the beginnings of legal regulation of woody plant pathology. It describes the origin and development of the first legal norms from the end of the 18th century to 1924. Early norm-making arose from professional articles issued by economic societies. The subject of the first phytopathologistic regulations was primarily the fight against harmful insects, especially bark beetles, black arches, cockchafer and phylloxera. Phytopathologistic legal norms have often been amended, cancelled and replaced by new ones, precisely given scientific and technical progress. In 1924, Act No. 165 on the Protection of Plant Production was issued, which abolished some older regulations and introduced a basic general framework for phytopathology.
