A política agrária do Banco Mundial em questão

Discute-se a atual política agrária do Banco Mundial sob cinco aspectos: as matrizes políticas que lhe dão suporte, sua base intelectual, as linhas de ação que desenvolve, as atualizações estratégicas operadas nos anos 1990 e, por fim, sua distribuição geográfica e sua magnitude financeira. Para tanto, abordam-se as reformas estruturais, que subordinam e orientam as ações específicas para a área agrária. Depois, discutem-se o enfoque pró-mercado de terras e a visão sobre o papel do Estado dele decorrente. Em seguida, analisa-se em que consiste tal política agrária, localizando-se em que regiões do mundo o Banco concentra a sua ação.<br>The current world bank land policy is discussed under five aspects: the political matrixes that give it support, its intellectual base, the lines of action that it develops, the strategic updates operated through the nineties and, at last, its geographic distribution and financial magnitude. For that, we discuss the structural reforms that subordinate and orient the formulation of programs and specific projects for the agrarian area. Afterwards, the pro-land market approach and the deriving vision of the role of the State are discussed. Finally, we analyze what this land policy consists of, locating in what regions of the world the Bank concentrates its action.
