Teknologi mobile telah menjadi bagian kehidupan kita sehari-hari. Hampir semua kalangan masyarakat memiliki telepon seluler, personal digital assistant (PDA) atau sejenisnya yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi lewat suara, memeriksa email atau manfaat teknologi lainnya. Stiki basketball league (SBL) adalah acara yang setiap tahun di selengarakan di STIKI Malang dan pada tahun 2016 peserta SBL adalah 32 tim putra dan 24 tim putri. Dengan jumlah peserta tersebut maka SBL perlu sebuah sistem yang dapat membantu peserta melakukan pendaftran, terlebih peserta SBL tidak hanya dari malang saja tetapi banyak dari luar kota malang. Sistem tersebut membantu peserta yang akan meakukan pendaftran, tanpa harus datang ke STIKI secara berkala untuk melengkapi persyaratan kompetisi.
