O propósito do artigo é investigar a gênese e a construção da noção durkheimiana de representação, de sua origem no neocriticismo francês à incorporação numa sociologia do conhecimento capaz de resolver os impasses implicados na epistemologia kantiana.<br>This paper presents an analysis of Durkheim's concept of representation, tracing its origin to the French neocriticism. Durkheim incorporates the concept into a sociology of knowledge that aims at solving the shortcomings of Kantian epistemology.
