Hal yang melatar belakangi penelitian ini adalah proses sistem pengelolaan aset teknologi informasi di STIKI Malang masih belum tercapai dengan baik, yang dikarenakan oleh kurangnya pengolahan data aset yang disimpan menjadi informasi yang dapat membantu STIKI Malang dalam melakukan pengelolaan aset-aset teknologi informasi yang dimiliki. Oleh karena itu, tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah sistem informasi pengelolaan aset teknologi informasi yang nantinya dapat dimanfaatkan oleh STIKI Malang sebagai media informasi dalam proses pengelolaan aset teknologi informasi. Sehingga nantinya dapat mempermudah dan mempercepat sistem yang telah ada.
