The political effects of the „Collective“ case: Government by technocrats

The article analyzes the political effects of the tragedy of Romanian Club Collective resulted in street demonstrations which led to the dismissal of the Ponta government and establishment consisting of the new government composed of technicians, led by Prime Minister Dacian Cioloș. Political executive in the government program, aimed transparency, depoliticization and cutting red tape in public administration. Starting discussions about regionalization and rationalization of public expenditure, as well as organization of local and parliamentary elections is the purpose of the current government, while the political parties have the opportunity to reform, as required by the tragedy caused by the club Collective. Political parties understood that reforming the political class can not be done only by a transitional apolitical government and in this regard they have validated and voted on this government composed of experts, which is supported in Parliament. The government technocrats program and decisions will be analyzed in this article, highlighting the technical dimension of the political decision.
