Usando material da literatura e do cinema, examina-se a idéia de que haveria uma "sub-avaliação" do cientista na sociedade. Argumenta-se que de fato ele é avaliado positivamente. As implicações disso são discutidas.<br>Using material from literature and cinema the idea of a "under-appraisal" of the scientist in society is discussed. As a matter of fact he is positively appraised, it is argued. The implications of this are examined.
