El golpe de estado de 1930 y las ideas corporativistas

En la Argentina de la década del ’20 comenzaron a actuar, bajo la difusa denominación de nacionalistas, distintos elementos reaccionarios que poseían en común una declarada aversión a los postulados básicos del sistema constitucional democrático liberal. Junto a ello, se verificaba el apego al tradicionalismo, el autoritarismo y el militarismo. Hostilizaron al gobierno democrático de H. Yrigoyen y alentaron y se unieron a la conspiración encabezada por J. F. Uriburu y un sector minoritario del Ejército. La xenofobia y el racismo eran asimismo un denominador común entre ellos. Sin embargo, tenían también visibles diferencias generadas por los modelos europeos que tomaban. Empero, faltaba un elemento esencial en el régimen posterior al golpe y en la mayoría de sus inspiradores para poderlos calificar plenamente de fascistas: la vinculación con las masas. Se trataba de un proyecto político reaccionario, autoritario, elitista y excluyente, que intentaba una reforma institucional de tinte corporativista. Tenía evidentes vinculaciones ideológicas con el fascismo, pero sin llegar a identificarse totalmente con él. El proyecto corporativista era defendido por C. Ibarguren y fue anunciado en el manifiesto del 1º de octubre de 1930: atacaba a la política de partidos y proponía un cambio en el modo de elección de los diputados nacionales. In the Argentina of the 20s, under the vague appellation of nationalists, began to act reactionary elements which had in common an aversion to the basic principles of democratic constitutional liberal system. It was also verified an attachment to traditionalism, authoritarianism and militarism. The democratic government of H. Yrigoyen was harassed by them and they also encouraged and joined the conspiracy headed by J. F. Uriburu and a minority of the Army. Xenophobia and racism were a common denominator among them although there were visible differences generated by the European models they took. However to qualify them such as fascists, was missing an essential element in the regime which followed the coup and in most of those who inspired it: the link with the masses. It was a reactionary, authoritarian, elitist and exclusionary political project that tried to obtain an institutional reform with corporatist dyeing. The ideological relations with fascism were evident but without identifying itself fully with it. The corporatist project was defended by c. Ibarguren and was announced in the manifesto of October 1, 1930: it attacked the party policy and proposed a change in the mode of election of national deputies.
