Arte rupestre soslayado: los grabados coloniales de Laguna Colorada - 8 Hermanos (Jujuy, Argentina)

Se continúa con las consideraciones teórico-metodológicas en relación con la selección de evidencia documental al momento de realizar estudios de arte rupestre. El soslayado de datos viene repitiéndose en la arqueología regional del NOA, no superando las nuevas generaciones de arqueólogos, las trabas heurísticas de los maestros. Que ha existido arte rupestre en la Colonia es un hecho aceptado a nivel continental. Sin embargo, la tendencia a considerarlo graffitis, sigue teniendo eco. Acá se documenta un panel de Laguna Colorada, Yavi, frontera argentino-boliviana, a través de una foto tomada por P. Krapovickas en 1970, jamás publicada. Luego, se fecha el componente colonial del panel gracias al hallazgo de un escudo de armas con año calendárico exacto en cuanto a su confección. Está tallado en la misma roca que los petroglifos. Tal evidencia se halla en la cercana Bolivia. Ambos elementos, iconográficamente, se inscriben en el barroco europeo del siglo XVIII. Por lo demás, el arte sacro de Yavi también es caracterizable como barroco jesuítico. In this paper, theoretical-methodological considerations regarding the selection of documentary evidence when studying rock art are considered, specifically the eluding of motifs. The elusion of data continues to take place in the regional archaeology studies of NW Argentina, where the new generations of archaelogists are not able to get through the heuristic obstacles of their teachers. The presence of Colonial rock art has been accepted throughout the continent. However, there is still a tendency for this rock art to be considered as graffiti. A panel from Laguna Colorada, Yavi, in the Argentinean-Bolivian border, is documented here, with two unpublished photos taken by P. Krapovickas in 1970. The Colonial component of that panel was dated, thanks to the discovery of a coat of arms with the exact calendar year regarding its creation. It is engraved in the same kind of rock as the petroglyphs. Similar evidence is present in Bolivia. Both elements are iconographically registered in the European baroque style of the 18th century.
