Se presenta un análisis sobre la distribución espacial y temporal de las distintas variedades de obsidiana en el campo volcánico Pali Aike (provincia de Santa Cruz) durante el Holoceno tardío (ca. 4000 AP). A partir de diferentes indicadores, se evalúan las estrategias de aprovisionamiento implementadas para la obtención de estas rocas y sus cambios a través del tiempo. De acuerdo con estos factores, se discute el rango de acción y la interacción entre poblaciones en el extremo sur de Patagonia continental. The analysis of the spatial and temporal distribution of artifacts made in different varieties of obsidian is presented. These artifacts were recovered at the Pali Aike volcanic field (Santa Cruz Province) and belong in the late Holocene (ca. 4.000 BP). Different variables are used to study the provisioning strategies of this rock and its changes through time. These results are used to discuss the home range and the interaction between populations in the southernmost continental Patagonia. Sociedad Argentina de Antropología
