Infiernos ovidianos: exilio, inframundo y 'locus horridus' en Ov.Ib.173- 194

Una de las tantas imprecaciones que el ego enunciador del Ibis ovidiano propina a su enemigo es el confinamiento en el Tártaro, sitio infernal y horroroso por definición. El enunciador se pronuncia desde su exilio en la inhóspita y hostil Tomi, también caracterizada como infernal, y al final del poema anhela un idéntico destino para su adversario, delineando así un texto donde estos espacios poco amigables juegan un papel preponderante y tienen implicancias metapoéticas. Estudiaremos la caracterización del inframundo en Ibis de Ovidio como locus horridus y su función en el presente poema ovidiano. Esperamos así revisar estos conceptos espaciales y su funcionalidad dentro de una de las composiciones de Ovidio menos visitadas. Abstract: One of the many imprecations that the lyrical subject of the Ovidian Ibis gives to his enemy is his confinement in Tartarus, a hellish and horrifying place by definition. The enunciator speaks from his exile in the inhospitable and hostile Tomi, also characterized as hellish, and at the end of the poem he yearns for an identical destiny for his adversary, thus outlining a text where these unfriendly spaces play a preponderant role and have metapoetic implications. We will study the characterization of the underworld in Ovid's Ibis as locus horridus and its function in the present Ovidian poem.
