Democracia deliberativa: una justificación sustantiva mixta

Existen diversos tipos de justificaciones del concepto de democracia deliberativa, las cuales podemos clasificar en puras y mixtas. Las justificaciones puras se dividen en sustantivas, procedimentales y epistémicas. Las mixtas resultan de la combinación de dos o más justificaciones puras. En este marco distinguidos teóricos se han manifestado en defensa de una justificación epistémica. Por un lado, C. S. Nino ha argumentado a favor de una justificación epistémica pura. Por el otro, entre quienes defienden una justificación epistémica mixta, J. L. Martí, ha asumido una justificación epistémica sustantiva. Sin embargo, renombrados deliberativistas han formulado fuertes objeciones a dichas justificaciones epistémicas. En este trabajo nos abocaremos a cumplir tres objetivos principales: 1) reconstruir los argumentos ofrecidos por C. S. Nino y J. L. Martí en defensa de sus respectivas posturas; 2) explicitar las principales objeciones que dichas posturas han recibido; y 3) esbozar argumentos en defensa de una justificación sustantiva mixta que tiene por epicentro el valor autonomía deliberativa. There are several types of justifications of the concept of deliberative democracy, which can be classified into pure and mixed. Pure justifications are divided into substantive, procedural and epistemic. e mixed justification results from the combination of two or more pure justifications. In this framework distinguished theorists have spoken in defense of an epistemic justification. On the one hand, C. S. Nino has argued for a pure epistemic justification. On the other hand, among those who advocates for a mixed epistemic justification, J. L. Martí, has assumed an epistemic substantive justification. However, renamed deliberativists have made strong objections to such epistemic justifications. In this paper we will work to ful ll three main objectives: 1) to reconstruct the arguments o ered by C. S. Nino and J. L. Marti in defense of their respective positions; 2) to explicit the main objections received by those positions; and 3) to outline arguments for a mixed substantive justification which has as epicenter the value of deliberative autonomy.
