Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan intensitas bermain game online pada mahasiswa pemain game online di game center X Semarang. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang bermain game online di game center X Semarang. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 70 orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik convenient sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua buah skala psikologi, yaitu skala intensitas bermain game online (45 aitem valid dengan α= 0,944) dan skala kontrol diri (20 aitem valid dengan α= 0,878). Data yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil analisis Spearmant-Brown menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,817 dengan p=0,00 (p<0,01). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti, yaitu terdapat hubungan negative antara kontrol diri dengan intensitas bermain game online pada mahasiswa pemain game online di game center X Semarang dapat diterima. Nilai koefisien korelasi negative menunjukkan bahwa arah hubungan kedua variable adalah negatif, artinya semakin tinggi kontrol diri maka akan semakin rendah intensitas bermain game online.
