El artículo se centra en la cuestión del agua dulce y su articulación con la actividad minera en la Argentina, analizando un caso en particular como es la mina aurífera nacional Pascua Lama entre Argentina y Chile, haciendo hincapié en el debate iniciado en torno a la protección de los glaciares y el ambiente periglaciar This paper focuses on the issue of fresh water and the way it relates to mining in Argentina. We analyse one particular case, the Pascua Lama national gold mine; located between Argentina and Chile, focusing on the debate regarding the protection of glaciers and the periglacial environment.
